A place of memory and reflection on the shores of Lake Geneva

Verte Rive / Centre Général Guisan

Located in Pully, on the shores of Lake Geneva, the property of Green Bank was the residence of General Henri Guisan, Commander-in-Chief of the Swiss Army during the Second World War (1939–1945).

The History of the Centre

Today, this exceptional venue hosts the General Guisan Centre, dedicated to meetings, studies, and the transmission of memory. The ground floor of the villa, preserved in its original state since the general's death in 1960, allows visitors to discover authentic furnishings and rare books, bearing witness to a defining era in Swiss history.

The ground floor of the villa, carefully preserved in its original state, offers a unique immersion into General Guisan's world. Here, you'll find period furniture, personal belongings, and a collection of rare books, all bearing witness to a pivotal era in Swiss history.

At once a place of remembrance and a space for reflection, Verte Rive is now a meeting point between the past, present, and future of military and societal issues.
